Night moves at the market People at the Auckland Night Markets in Pakuranga will find themselves caught up among throngs of shoppers browsing more than 200 stalls. The focus is on international food, but there is also an extensive range of cellphone covers, baseball caps, groceries, art, jewellery, clothing and electronic accessories. There is live music at one end and pop coming from stalls -- commonly the popular Gangnam Style by Psy. Visitors wishing to pay for calm among the excitement can hold still for henna painting or relax into a Chinese massage. Simon Smith took in the sights. SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE Much bling: There is a lot of jewellery and accessories to consider. In demand: The food aisle bustles with patrons enjoying diverse ethnic food. Tasty treat: North Shore resident Suresh Fernando of Flaming Wok cooks food that is a popular choice. On display: Several stalls stock branded caps. Earth bounty: More traditional market fare is available too. Relaxing oasis: Steven Shi from Shi Heaven Body gives a Chinese massage to Luke McPake of Eden Terrace. Body art: Hiroko Kuboshima holds still for henna artist Sunder Raman. Creative hands: Brent Han, aka Mr Wire of Ellerslie, creates three-dimensional objects out of wire. Toy time: Jaslyn and Anton Siu sell all types of toys and knick- knacks.
