31 CENTRAL LEADER, APRIL 27, 2011 NEWS Lest we forget: A salute to the fallen at the Mt Roskill War Memorial Hall. Getting ready: Marchers prepare to make the journey to the Mt Roskill War Memorial Hall. Good turnout for Anzac Poignant moment: Wreaths are laid in the hall at the end of the parade. Special march: Parade members make their way through Mt Roskill streets. In remembrance: A member of the public gets ready to lay a wreath. The dismal weather didn't deter members of the public from gather- ing to remember the nation's fallen at an Anzac parade in Mt Ros- kill. The parade started at Cullen Ave and finished at the Mt Roskill War Memorial Hall, which was so crowded there was standing room only available. Those involved in putting the event on include Reverend Martin Fey, Auckland RSA rep- resentative Red Hooper, the Dominion Tongan Methodist choir, Auck- land City Brass, the 3rd Auckland Northland Battalion Group, Lynfield College, Marcel- lin College, the Girl Guides and the Puketa- papa Local Board. Following the dis- missal, all were invited to morning tea served by the Girl Guides. Participant Deb Young captured the event on camera.
