Inspector Ross Endicott-Davies says the person decided to try drifting on MacKelvie St at about 10pm. The person had applied a sub- stance to his tyres and he collided with three parked cars. This caused significant damage and police are seeking the driver. Charges are likely. Police are looking for a Chrysler Valiant registration GN5044. In a separate incident, police were able to recover stolen prop- erty after stopping a vehicle seen on Rosebank Rd in the early hours of Monday morning. The vehicle had been seen being driven suspiciously at an address in west Auckland. A dog handler s vehicle tried to stop the car but it failed to stop, Mr Endicott-Davies says. The vehicle was then located and the occupants apprehended. Stolen property was found in the vehicle and a well-known burglar in the western area was arrested. The person arrested was one of two people in the car. Property from several burglaries has been located. Avondale police are also looking for a vehicle in relation to a bur- glary on Woodward Rd in Mt Albert. It is a silver Honda Prel- ude with a registration number YG2763. Anyone with information is asked to contact the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800- 555-111 or contact sergeant Rus- sell Richards of the Avondale tac- tical crime unit on 820-5700.
