The 16-year-old is supporting the Shave for a Cure campaign, which is the official fundraiser for the foundation. The teenager met his initial tar- get of $500 and is hoping to raise close to $1000 for the charity. I know a lot of people are going to ask me about it when all my hair isgone,it sgoingtobeabitofa surprise, he says. I ve been supporting him but he s done all the fundraising himself, she says. Akash will be shaving his hair tomorrow at Rodney Wayne in St Lukes, where hairdresser Kilioti Veatufunga is giving him the cut for free. Mr Veatufunga says it s fan- tastic to be able to offer hairdress- ing services to help people out. It s really cool to be able to sup- port the foundation and to know we are making a difference to help save lives.
