A performance at the Maidment Theatre from November 18 to 21 will showcase the best of the dance school. A Life Between Us will run over the four days, with pieces performed by students from all levels of the course. The showcase is choreographed by stu- dents and tutors who have passed through the school since its inception in 1989. The school started with 13 pupils enrolled in a two-year diploma course and was first run from a studio on Upper Queen St. Tickets can be bought at www.maidment.auck land.ac.nz or by phoning 308-2383. Give a gift to Unicef Unicef is urging New Zealanders to reduce the amount of unwanted Christmas presents this year during its Say No To Naff campaign. Instead it's encourag- ing shoppers to select items from the gifts range available on its Facebook page or website. Customers can choose gifts such as water kits for a family in the Philippines or story books for children in Bangladesh. Each gift comes with a personalised card to accompany the present. Worldwide Unicef sent more than eight million presents to 76 countries last year, ranging from Algeria to Zambia. Visit www.facebook. com/SayNoToNaff or www.unicef.org.nz for more information.
